This family home in Sweden has a very calm and tranquil white background throughout. The interior design features cheerful colours that highlight the white canvas. The eclectic mix of decorative accessories such as wallpaper from Ralph Lauren, shelves from IKEA, paper lamp by Tord Boontje and a host of other items provide each room with interesting accents.
The Shadowy Deckchair by designer Tord Boontje is both an artistic expression and functional beach furniture. The contemporary design woven using coloured plastic threads evokes 1920s beach furniture found at the North Sea in Northern Europe. The curled backrest also serves as a parasol cover.
Dutch designer Tord Boontje decided to go green with style and developed this series of glassware — tranSglass — from recycled bottles. Empty bottles become vases and candleholders. A diagonally-cut bottle is turned into a jug. The bottom half of beer bottles become drinking glasses.
