La Dimora di Metello: A Historic Cave Hotel in Southern Italy

La Dimora di Metello is a boutique Hotel located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Matera, Basilicata, Italy.  The transformation of a cave house by Manca Studio into an elegant 4-room hotel created a magical place from an ancient limestone grotto.

Cave Hotel Sextantio Le Grotte Della Civita

Located in the village of Matera in Southern Italy, Sextantio Le Grotte Della Civita is an 18-room boutique hotel restored from abandoned prehistoric caves. The Sassi di Matera (stones of Matera) are prehistoric dwellings dug into the rock itself. Today, the area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
