25Hours Hotel HafenCity located in the HafenCity district in Hamburg, Germany is a radical re-imagining of a seaman’s home in a foreign habour. HafenCity is one of the largest rebuilding projects in Europe in the 21st century, reviving and reinventing Hamburg’s old harbour quarter into a hip urbanscape.

25Hours Hotel HafenCity — a contemporary hotel with 170 cabin-style suits — draws from the rich maritime history of the area. The interior design with vintage furniture, naval accessories and elements from the shipbuilding industry create an atmosphere inspired by stories of dangerous passages, romantic encounters, wild storms, and a classic tale of a sailor living in the harbour’s underbelly.

Boundary Hotel London – Converted Victorian Warehouse With A Modern Twist

Located in the heart of Shoreditch district in London, England, Boundary Hotel is a 17-room boutique hotel housed in a converted Victorian industrial building. The interior design by Conran & Partners is a veritable homage to good design. The quirky guest rooms are spread across two floors, each inspired by a legendary designer or design movement, from Young British to Bauhaus, Eileen Gray to Le Corbusier. The five duplex suites range from Modern Dickensian to Modern Chinoiserie.

Inntel Hotel Amsterdam Zaandam – A Real Life Gingerbread House

Hotel California – Mexican Charm In Todos Santos

The iconic Hotel California is a charming boutique hotel located in the colonial town of Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. First built in 1947 by a Chinese immigrant, Hotel California evolved into a popular hot spot with a colourful history.

There are stories, whether fact or myth, that this is the same hotel that inspired the song “Hotel California” by the 70’s rock group The Eagles. Regardless of the legends, the hotel today has a delightful eclectic interior decor and inspirational atmosphere.

Architecturally, the interior of the rooms designed by Christophe Pillet are almost like houses with floor-to-ceiling windows. Natural stone floors and textured concrete walls bring freshness while leather and wood furnishings bring warmth. The contemporary clear lines provide simple elegance with a touch of the seaside resort.
