Carturesti Carusel: A 19th Century Building Regained Life As A Bookstore

Located in the old city center of Bucharest, Romania, a former bank built in the 19th century was transformed into a bookstore by Square One.

An organic fluid form that winds through the existing structural elements was created. Existing classical pillars were restored.
